This was my daughter Jennifer's first day at daycare (1984).
Journaling reads:
Jennifer, This was your first day
of day care. I stayed a while to
make sure you were okay
with me leaving you there.
You were fine, playing with
the other kids. When I
picked you up, I asked you
how you liked school. You
said I liked it fine, Mommy,
but I never want to go back
there again. You cried for
three days, but the 4th
morning when you woke up,
you smiled and said you were
happy because you were going to
school, and you were going to
like it.
