Fall has usually been my favorite season. But, it looks a whole lot different this year! The catastrophic impact of Hurricane Helene has led to an unfathomable loss of life, homes, and businesses in my area of North Carolina and adjacent states. The journey toward recovery may take years, if it is attainable at all. For many who have experienced the loss of family members and other significant losses, the trauma and scars of this tragedy will persist for many, many years to come.
