Process:

Solid Paper was placed on a new canvas. I played with all of the brushes, adding layers and layers of pastel colors creating a stacked composition (11 layers began the foundation), all brushes are from the new collections. Various blend modes were applied to several. The first copy of the photo was placed over the stack of brushwork, normal blend mode, and an inverted mask was applied. Using an artsy paint brush at 100% opacity revealing the swan and water ripples. The particular brush used created a watercolor affect on the swan, which was a very happy surprise. More layers of brushwork was placed over the first photo. A duplicate photo was added with an inverted mask, brushed to reveal the swan and water ripples (soft light, 23% opacity). The slide element was placed just beneath the first swan photo in the layers panel, color dodge at 46% opacity. The finishing elements and threadz were added for the cluster.

Loving the dreamy look. There is just something so peaceful about swans...from a distance. (I made the mistake of getting too close to one once!)

Love the soft, dreamy color palette and how the view slide frames the swan! Gorgeous page!

Gorgeous composition! Love the inclusion of the "viewfinder" wheel for a subtle frame.

Congratulations! Your stunning page has been featured on today's Gallery Standout Blog http://gallerystandouts.com/fingerpointing/
