Exquisite Life

Using a photo from a heritage set I bought, I gave this unknown woman a name and setting where I imagined she lived. She looks like a strong, proud woman to me that has her stuff together and ruled the roost.

Notes: Starting with artsy paper 2 from Heartland, I assembled two of the architextures together, spanning the page using a color from Rougir and blending to Linear Burn. Underneath I placed the the overlays blending the flower overlay to Multiply and the assemblage overlay to Linear Burn. I added art strokes over these layers from both Rougir and Heartland. I brought in bits and pieces of the artsy transfers to the right side of the page to give it more depth.

Below the architectures I placed the mask and clipped Marabelle Peebles to it and blended the mask to Color Burn then used a photo filter to the photo. Over the set I used the stained fotoglow, which I blended to Overlay and left at 100% opacity. The word art transfer was added just below. I framed this set with the gold frame, giving a little bevel and emboss and blended to Dissolve to give it some graininess. A taped texture was placed over it at the upper right side of the photo set.

Finally, I added the vine from Rougir and the flowers from Heartland to finish the page along with the title.
Love the frame and the acid yellow that symbolizes strength and independence. The village is a nice context.

Oh, how marvelous...she now has a name, a residence, and a personality! Love the yellow color burn on the photo and how you incorporated the new brushes!

I love that you have rescued her from obscurity and given her a history! Lovely use of colour and texture!

Amazing blending and love the use of color! Yes, a strong determined woman! My daughter and I were just talking about what makes a strong woman and the obstacles one encounters along the journey of life.
