Artsy Layered Template No. 147 https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Artsy-Layered-Template-No.-147.html

I had taken a picture that I gave a vintage finish to and when I looked at this kit I thought it might work for scrapping this photo.

I started with ArtsyLayered Template No 147 but decided not to use the frames. SO I turned them all off. I wanted to do a single photo page. So I placed the photo on the page the added frame2 to the page and enlarged it to fit my photo. I clipped the photo to the frame mask use Layer>Create Clipping Mask.

Then I started coloring the layers matching different colors in the photo. I did this with Edit>Fill and clicking on a color and set to Foreground color and Perserve Transparency is checked. I left a few of the white layers white. I like the diagonal the stains and photo created. I used UrbanStitches 7.3 over the corner of the photo and frame. I Control clicked on the shadow layer for the frame. Then I used the warp tool so that it looked like the photo and frame were popping off the page because the stitching was pulling the opposite corner down. Then I added the flower under the picture/frame at the corner near the stitching. On the opposite side I used a brush with a bit of the color from the flower.

I decided to use the word art "Everything is possible" because an education makes it so.

I added the journaling. Lastly I titled the picture
and everything around it by clicking on the first and last layer of these items and using the move tool to rotate it a bit. Funny how a change can just give the picture what it needs.

I really get what you mean about a small change making a big impact--the tilt adds a jaunty feel to the structure of this layout.

I love your journaling - education does make all possible - I love that your grand niece wants to know about her family history - love the photo and the effect! gorgeous page!
