Journaling:
Steve told us that the Gould's Mexican Turkeys had gone extinct in Arizona but were re-introduced a few years ago. They had to be imported from Mexico and he called them the $100,000 turkeys.

I know turkeys are common in other areas, but not where we are. For me seeing the display was very interesting and we felt lucky. One visitor at the lodge (a professional wildlife photographer) came from Montana just to see the turkeys. He watched the hummingbirds but didn't take any photos.
