Marceline Day (1908-2000)became a featured actress as a Mack Sennett "Bathing Beauty" (comedies) but gradually,she began appearing in more dramatic roles.In 1926 she was named one of the thirteen WAMPAS Baby Stars (to honor from 1922 to 1934 thirteen young women each year who they believed to be on the threshold of movie stardom WAMPAS = Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers).Although Day transitioned into talkies with little problem,her career faltered in the early '30s,and she was soon reduced to appearing in low-budget thrillers and action pictures.She appeared in "B" Westerns.After her retirement (in the mid-'30s),Day rarely spoke of her years as an actress and never spoke to reporters or granted interviews.
