Our final adventure in NYC. One of the few things I really wanted to do on this trip was to have lunch at a great authentic Jewish deli. I had done extensive research and knew where all of the good spots were. We had been so busy over the last few days that the opportunity never presented itself. And with only three hours left until we had to take the train back home it looked like my pastrami rueben would have to wait until the next trip We were visiting a Buddist temple on the Lower East Side. I wasn't really thinking about my deli. But when we turned the corner onto E. Houston an alarm went off in my head. "Follow Me"! As we approached the corner of E. Houston & Ludlow...there it was...Katz's Deli... famous for their pastrami... infamous for Meg Ryan's famous "orgasm" scene in "When Harry Met Sally". Needless to say, lunch was fantastic. Nigel got to hang out with a couple of real NY firemen on their lunch break as I got the food. Scratch this one from my bucket list!!
