December Art Journaling Week 1

The December AJ Challenge, Week 1, has been posted. Our Word Prompt for December is {ILLUMINATE}. When I saw Sonja's quotes, I knew I had my "theme". I used Hemingway's quote: "We are all broken that's how the light gets in". What a beautiful page and heartfelt quotes! I know that this holiday season is hard without your beloved husband to be there with you. I pray that you will find joy in the time with your family and make new memories. {{{{HUGS))))

There is SO much in this layout. The sparkle cause I know Chuck loved to let you sparkle and you did under his love. The moon quote, cause you know he loved you so much he would do anything for you. The Hemingway quote cause as you heal, the light shines through all those cracks and we see how Chuck loved you so that you were able to heal despite shattering. The swirl in her center, the love and sadness swirling together creating chaos emotions at times. Oh man like I said, I dont have the perfect words but Holy powerful layout. :heartpumppink:

Hugs back to you, my sweet friend. Yes, we're trying to make new memories. The "kids" all came over tonight and helped me decorate and put the tree up. It hasn't been up for two years. We watched a crazy/funny movie that made us all laugh. Thank you for your wonderful comments. Oh, Girl - you have deeply touched my heart. Today was our anniversary, so it's been a rough day. Chuck DID love to see me sparkle - there's a country song called "You look so good in love (Oh, how you sparkle, oh, how you shine)" and I remember how he always made me feel. He was always behind me in whatever I wanted to do. In the last few years, he wasn't always feeling like being with me, but he always made me feel so good about "shining" and I knew he was at home waiting for me. Your words are so powerful - I wish I could express myself like you do, Tracy.
