Story:
Thursday, Ella is home with a mild cold and I let her stay home from school to rest. Rocky is passed out, up-side-down in his bed, meanwhile Im working my third week straight. This is my BUSIEST time of year both personally and professionally and the older I get the less enchanted I become with Christmas. Maybe it has a lot to do with the fact that my children are getting older, but I feel it stems from the seemingly endless effort and preparations involved with this time of year. Instead of decorating my house, I'd rather be on the couch with my family watching a movie or playing a board game, and in place of cooking and consuming largely unnecessary amounts of food, I'd prefer to go for something a little more simple so I have the time to document and enjoy the fun times. I've said it many times that for me, LESS is definitely MORE so I'm signing up for a low-key kind of Holiday this year. Christmas is exhausting unless you make the effort for it not to be. 6 Dec 2012.
