Story:
There is nothing quite like the excitement on Christmas Eve and at times there was a little discipline required to curb it. As I was heading to the gym in the morning the phone rang twice. It was Santa for Ella and then Luke. They were pretty taken by it but E was a little disappointed that he didnt respond to her questions. I got back from the gym and immediately began work on some lunch and a chocolate pie requested by Ella. Mai and Richard arrived shortly thereafter and joined in the festivities. Mai had brought a pu-pu platter with various grilled meats and dipping sauces to quench our appetites. I squeezed in a quick jaunt with the dogs before we feasted on Prime Rib, roast potatoes, honeyed parsnips, carrots and brussel sprouts. Ella and Luke were eager to *get cracking* the Christmas crackers. I love that my in-laws get on-board with this tradition and share in the madness of wearing hats through dinner.
