For the Day 9 challenge, we're asked to use one of 3 photos in a layout. So, to create this layout, I started with the photo of the Joyful Snowfall Woman. In Photoshop, I clipped this photo to one of the photomasks from the Winter Is Here Collection by Palvinka Designs. Because she is looking up at the falling snow, I wanted to position her near the bottom of the page, to give lots of space above her.
Then I built a corner cluster bit by bit. I started with two long pieces of greenery that remind me of eucalyptus and positioned one up and one down. At the bottom, I put a large leaf with some flowers and berries on top. Then I started tucking other elements above and below until I got a border arrangement that I liked.
Next I started experimenting with background papers. I love this one because it feels light and airy and because it has a texture to it that reminds me of snow falling from the upper left corner. I added the word strips and then I used the same word art phrase, once in white, and once in gray that I put behind it to act as a shadow, for the title.
