My art was inspired by a childhood memory. I grew up in a big old rambling farm house in Indiana. The front entranced was shaded by a mature fir tree easily seen from the "parlor." We kids were not allowed in the parlor at all. It was strictly for company. But every Christmas my Mother would decorate a section of the fir with ornaments and tinsel. She allowed us in the parlor during our school holiday break...but only if we sat quietly and read books. I have fond memories of that pretty scene outside our almost forbidden window.
