Normally my folding slows dramatically during Days of December, but I knocked three models off my origami "to do" list so I could make a LO about things undone. The models are Foschi's Holiday Gnome, Gigandet's Strip Reindeer and Berty's Little Rabbit. Hoffman's poem has great imagery even if I don't quite get the last part:
December 31
All my undone actions wander
naked across the calendar,
a band of skinny hunter-gatherers,
blown snow scattered here and there,
stumbling toward a future
folded in the New Year I secure
with a pushpin: January’s picture
a painting from the 17th century,
a still life: Skull and mirror,
spilled coin purse and a flower.
