No, these cookies were not laced with Covid. Last year at this time, I was hibernating from Covid. (I'm immuno-comprised, so I only went out to pick up groceries or go to the doctor.) I missed baking Christmas cookies with a very dear friend. Unbeknownst to me, she had arranged for her daughter, who has a small bakery, to deliver cookies to me. Along with a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. I may have been alone, but my heart was full—and so was my tummy.
