Finally! Last
LO with Affinity Photo instead of Photoshop. Biggest challenge was masking, because it's not easy to see what you're doing when carefully masking out edges, although the live view helps. There is a quick mask tool but it doesn't seem to work if you've already created a mask for the layer. Also tried using @[25204
annaaspnes] distressing tools - again, hard to see what you're doing and the equivalent of the Photoshop brushes panel is way more awkward to use - Because of impaired vision-unfriendly GUI, I had to do a lot of guessing to pick the right brush and you're stuck with arrow keys to do brush rotations, which only happen in defined increments. And as usual had many undos because AP is positive it knows what layer you should be on instead of the layer you mean to be on, so you're often doing edits on the wrong layer.

Partial journaling:
In Dec 2023 I somehow became a Viner - invited by Amazon to receive "free" product in exchange for reviews. It turned out not to be as great as it sounded. Product isn't free - you have to pay taxes on the fair market value (usually Inflated by Amazon) of what you receive and 99% of the offerings are cheap Chinese cr@p. And you have to review a certain number of items to stay in the program.
...I scored a number of things that were actually useful - at least temporarily, such as a new travel neck wallet, a car cell phone holder that actually works and a package of hemostatic gauze. I discovered glass nail files and new-fangled nail clippers as well as (sadly, often poor-quality) devices that can actually clear a cerumen impaction or vibrate old ink off of pen nibs.
I slogged thru images of "tactical" dog collars and cake toppers to try new foods: fresh vanilla beans, selim peppers and besan. OMG, pimple patches, where have you been all my life!??
...But like many Viners, I've known for a while that Vining is an addiction that steals way too much from real life and that there are only so many overpackaged-in-plastic earplugs, nail brushes and nail clippers I need. So..
Do I Stay?
