Journaling:
We only knew the road beyond Engineer Pass was a scenic byway but required 4WD. When we rounded the corner and saw the crazy shelf road going up the mountain, we were resigned to take it if that was the road. Remember our relief when there was a "Road Closed" sign and the main road went off the mountain in a different direction.
