London Bridge

My dear friends' 20 something daughters went to London over the holidayI get to play with their snaps. And, yes, it is the Tower Bridge.

Process notes:
I love the watercolor transfers in the new APP Brumal, so I went with a watercolor look for this design. I used SolidPaper No. 4 as my background. I placed my photo and clipped it to a Flock watercolor FotoBlendz. I added transfers on the right, left and underneath the masked photo. The photo appeared too bright, so I made a composite layer (shift+cmd+opt+E), then applied a PhotoShop poster edges filter. Still was too bright, so I rasterized the layer and added a cooling photo filter (image-adjustment-photo filter). I placed the text strip in the clouds and masked some out to give it a foggy look. I thought the brown stains in the right hand corner competed with the look, so I added a layer and brushed in lots of blue to soften it. Text was the final touch.

Thanks so much for looking.
Oh! this is fabulous - love the moody colours of it. It has given me a great idea for some of my London shots I took in August 2017. Just beautiful!

the musical term 'mysterioso' came to mind when I saw this LO. Love your choices and explanations.

Such a beautiful piece, Christy...it reminds me of moonlight at midnight. Love the dark colors, and your transfer work is amazing.
