A layout I did for a Circle Journal. The topic was documenting your favorite song. I wrote about "Blackbird" by the Beatles. It's difficult to see, but the lyrics to the song run up the sides of the layout right along the edges.
Journaling Reads: A song that speaks to the very essence of my soul. A song about overcoming a broken spirit. A song about rising from despair and becoming strong. A song which played in my mind constantly on my wedding day. After a childhood filled with lonliness and despair I was finally able, for the first time in my life, to pick up the pieces of my broken spirit and learn to fly. To finally just be happy and loved and secure. Moving forward without fear. Without lonliness. Without sadness. All my life, I was only waiting for that moment to be free. Now, finally, I am able to fly.
