...I have a HUGE favor to ask while we are out of town: Could you put out the garbage can Sunday night?

Me: When you said huge favor, I was thinking maybe you wanted us to put Christmas lights up on your house! Garbage can duty seems pretty easy!

Andrea: Now that you mention Christmas lights...

Me: Have a safe trip, and dont be disappointed about a light-free house when you return.

Andrea: Fine! Be that way. Just dont ask us to put up YOUR lights, because it wont happen. So there!

So of course, we come up with the idea of doing
a real tacky job of putting up some lights on the
front of their house. Dave hung them as cooked as
he could. When they got back, the emails continued:

Andrea: You guys are too funny! But it WAS a much better job than Mark would have done! Jay saw it first and asked if I had started to put lights ouside before we left. Oh, heavens, NO!
I LOVE it!
Thanks so much for taking out the garbage can, and for the big belly laugh!!! Im still not putting lights on your house any time soon--or later!

PS: They left the lights up and turned on!
