Each year, when my sister and I were little, my mom would make us write a letter to Santa and explain to him how we had been good and/or bad that year. She said if there was a good explanation we could explain it to Santa, if not, we had to apologize and be at his mercy that Christmas. haha Of course, I became very effective at explaining.
