Celebrate

Early November we had a dusting of snow and I shot this photo of the burning bush in my back yard as I was leaving for work. There are some sights you just cant walk past without stopping and taking in a beautiful moment you know will quickly disappear.

The ArtPlay MiniPalette Jocund is free with $20.00 purchase in the AnnaAspnes store during the Black Friday sale.

Notes: Starting with solid paper 2, I brought in the photo and hid it with a reverse layer mask. I used artsy paint brushes to bring it back out. I duplicated the photo and put the copy on Soft Light. I duplicated the photo one more time and reduced the size and tucked it in the botton left corner and blended to Hard Light.

Bringing in transfer 1 and placing it in the upper left corner I decided to experiment a little, bringing in artsy paper one and covering all the previous layers and going through the blend modes to see what would happen. Overlay was the best, it soften the look of the page. Between these layers, I used the pinstripe along the left side of the page, artsy stains, using colors from the palette on the main photo and bottom photo.

Between the photo and artsy paper, I added the gold pain transfer on the left side, framed the photo with the tape overlay, used a couple of the brushes from the palette and brought in a tissue texture to simulate snow at the bottom of the photo. I added another tissue texture above the photo on the right side. A glow was added over the photo. Using the red from the bush I used the splatter leading down from the photo to the bottom left.

The snow sprinkle along with the title was added to the top and word art added to the bottom left. The string was placed over a transfer, framing the photo along with the label underneath, which was blended to Color Burn. I believe that finished this page.
So love the amazing colors the burning bush produces in the fall. Wonderful use of staining and I adore the star and wa

When there is snow and there is red, it's always wonderful! Definitely a thing to celebrate. Beautiful page.

Beautiful blending! Love the bold color of the burning bush against the snow!
