A while back we got so much rain over the weekend that the backyard and our basement flooded. The silver lining? I captured a beautiful reflection of the trees!
Process
Solid papers from APP Storm and APP Mint Blizzard were used as the foundation of the page. APP Storm solid p 2 was on the bottom layer with solid paper 2 from Mint Blizzard placed on the layer above with a reduced opacity. Solid paper 2 from APP Storm was duplicated and placed on the top layer with the blending mode changed to color burn. The photo was clipped to a fotoblendz overlay mask. Using a soft textured brush (reduced opacity) areas of the reflection in the water were extended. The blending mode of the mask was changed to darken. A CineFlim overlay was layered over the photo with a layer mask added. A distressed look was achieved by using a textured brush. A transfer from APP Storm (blending mode multiply) was clipped to each acrylic letter. MultiMedia Raindrops and Birds were added. The page was completed by adding word art and embellishments.
the acrylic alphas are really fun, aren't they? Sorry about your flooding :-( good that you can see the silver lining, very cool reflections, I love the split of the page
We had the same last week-end... lots of water everywhere. The creek overflowed and washed part of the lane away, new gravel arrived today. The cycle..... Love the greens and especially that gorgeous reflection.
