The kids came up from Brooklyn to meet us for dinner and a tour of Huguenot Street, a place we like to visit in upstate New York. October brings the haunting, with costumed guides and a particularly spooky cemetery experience.

After clipping the large photo to the FotoBlendz, I altered it so that it would be more complementary to the tones in the family selfie. This was a simple matter of duplicating the photo, converting it to black and white, and setting the blend mode to screen at a lowered opacity. I added the portrait and the other photos, then did the journalingbecause I often self-print at 8x8, I upsized the type to 12 point on 15-point leading. For a quick title, I used the logo of the historic group who sponsored our haunted tour, then created a custom background paper by using the Artsy Transfers on top of a paper from the Artplay Palette Paperie. As a last step, I layered in some embellishments from the Artplay Palette for a little extra texture.
