London

Quote:
You are now
In London, that great sea, whose ebb and flow
At once is deaf and loud, and on the shore
Vomits its wrecks, and still howls on for more
Yet in its depth what treasure!

Percy Bysshe Shelley

Photos: London photos Sophia Reed + Car photo BarnImages
Fonts: FG Rakel + Caferus Shadow

Process Notes: Solid paper 4 as the foundation and placing and resizing the photos of Big Ben and the car, I used a reverse mask to bring them back in with AnnaBlendz brushes and a different stroke brush at the top of Big Ben.

Underneath Big Ben are transfers, the art stroke and word art mix. Over the image I used a warm glow blended to Linear Burn and added a tape.

Bringing in the architexture using a darker shade taken from the background, I placed it above Big Ben in the layers panel and blended to Color Burn to make it a whisper. I also blended the car photo to Color Burn which is above the architexture stamp in the layers panel. Below the car I put a another transfer and word art mix. The word art is blended to Multiply.

After bringing in the MM and grouping it, then building the little photo scenario. Using the framed masks from ArtsyTemplate No. 255, I clipped the photos after making them black and white to the masks, tucking one into the torn edges of the envelope by using a layer mask. Bringing in the quote, I used stains to dirty up the envelope a little. I changed out the leaf for the succulent, brought in the postage stamp from Old World and button from Notabilia. Adding the title finished out my little quote page.

The perfect mix for a time gone by. A romantic time. The documents add so much to your design.

Big Ben has never looked so good! I like how the other photos are scattered about and how the big Architexture in the background adds monolithic balance.

One of the best travel pages ever! Adore how it all comes together in such a classy way!
