"Dobar dan" means "good day" in Croatia, where my son and daughter-in-law are currently enjoying a 10-day holiday. They've been cloud-dropping me scads of photos and as each day's download arrives, I chuck the pictures into spreads from various aA template albums more or less in the order I receive them. I don't overthink it, just take the ones I like best and when I run out of room on the spread, so be it.
Using this method I am managing to keep up with the images as they come in, and then, when I have time, I go back to gussy up the pages. Here I added paper and Artsy Transfers that would reinforce the sense of antiquity. I also used A LOT of stains because I had a very weird join to the left of the centerline that I couldn't for the life of me find. And since I couldn't find the right layers to fix, I took another approach, slathering on stains to disguise the weirdness. I also used the stains to brighten up the dark background of the big arch on the right.
For now I'm leaving the text boxes blank, because all I'm getting are the photos, no texts. I'll dump everything on the kids when they return and they can give me the details to fill in then. This assembly line approach is really working well for me, letting me get pages in place speedily and then doing the enjoyable stuff when time allows.
