I just googled this plant. No wonder the deer don't eat them. They're very toxic to humans and animals. I'm always looking for flowers the deer will leave alone. How long do the blossoms last? One of the things I love about hydrangeas is that they look gorgeous for several months. Most flowers we grow are spent within a week or two, or the deer eat them (no roses for us!).
Anything the deer won't eat is just fine with me! I've been growing meadow flowers lately, like amaranthus and Mexican hat, and the deer turn up their cute noses. This is a beautiful artsy flower!
