Ever since Adryanne posted the color challenge, I've been intrigued with where she found these flowers, then last Friday I found them
Anna Aspnes:
ArtPlay Palette Girl Craze
MultiLayered FotoBlendz 8
Something Springy (old old kit, colored brads)
ArtPlay Palette Summer Breeze
warped frome from Oscraps Collab Tango
small frames from Artsy Layered Template 246
Multimedia Hearts
The flower "stickers" were created by extracting the photos my SIL took by jumping up onto the wall to get a more straight on shot, extracted using the Quick Selection tool (learned in the Pen Play class)
Journaling:
We walked from Union Square to Hayes Valley to have lunch at Pepitos, passing over Market Street and the Civic Center Plaza on the way. This is one of my least favorite areas of the city, one I would not venture into alone. It's not unsafe, especially with all the people around, but it tends to be, lets say, unpleasant. The Asian Art Museum, like the de Young, is also celebrating the Summer of Love, and all over the Civic Center Plaza there were brightly painted flowers on the sidewalks. I took a few photos as we walked, always trying to be considerate of my companions and not hold them up while I take all my goofy photos. Megan suggested they would be better shot from up on the wall (theres that expensive art school education once again coming in handy). I thought about that, and while thinking, Sam took my phone, hopped up onto the 4-ft walk in a single bound, and took these great flower photos for me. Its the Summer of Love, baby, and perhaps the last summer in San Francisco.
