Some of the journaling::
it is nearly five years ago now that Dad passed away. I can still feel the physical pain that gripped me when I got that call. It was just a few weeks earlier that Sergio passed away. I remember his mother and father, Lisa and her three kids, all still raw from their loss, coming to Dads funeral. Thats the kind of loyalty that Robert engenders. Every August we tend to think of them a little more than otherwise. And every August, we find dimes. Robert & I, we find dimes. I find pennies all the time, but only in August do I find dimes. I went into the bathroom stall at AT&T Park, closed the door, turned around, and there was a dime on the floor right under the door where Id stepped just a second ago. I dropped my spools of thread and they went behind the couch cushions, and when I pulled out the cushions, there was a dime. I was paying for my Swirl Crepe lunch, and peeking out from under the ipad register was a dime. Crissy moved into a new apartment, and when they opened the door to move in, there was a dime. And these were not old dimes that had been kicked around on the ground for a while, they were all shiny new dimes.

Dad loved coins, not only because they were money, but for their numismatic value. By the time Mom died there was nothing left of his collection. That story is too sad to recount.

What are you trying to tell us? Maybe nothing, maybe its all just coincidental.
I don't much believe in coincidences. Somebody famous (memory fails on who) once said that coincidence is just truth waiting to be heard. Loosely translated. An important story to preserve, and you did so beautifully. You captured a mystical spirit, bravo!

Beautiful memories. I also don't believe in coincidences. There are always too many connections to be a coincidence. Love the blues and journaling!

a heartfelt tribute to your dad. i believe he's sending you tokens of his lovea remembrance that love truly never dies.
