I used the paper from the lesson as well as 4 other papers from different palettes at different blend modes and opacties to get the look I wanted. I made several copies of the photos, with one made into a sketch layer using the "Find Edges" filter and one with "Paint Daubs", each with different opacities and blend modes, masking out different parts of the image so that one side is the image and the other is the sketch. Also lots of transfers and brushwork with different blend modes as well. I like the way the beads (APP Portiere) pick up the colors in the layout, and I recolored a few with a Hue/Sat adjustment layer and an inverted mask. Fonts are Montebello and Pea Kadee.
