Might be a bit of therapy here - I've tried to show my frustration about the recent journey we had to my daughter's home - y'know the stuff, an almost 4 hour flight delay for a 1 hour flight which then means missing your train then more delays because of engineering work on the track etc. etc. I can't understand why this kind of stuff is so exhausting when you spend the greatest part just sitting around! I took the photograph of the equally delayed passengers on the opposite side of the track at Gatwick waiting on the London train and used Ulla-May's tutorial https://www.annaaspnesdesigns.com/create-an-artsy-sketch-effect/

Where to begin? I started with the photograph and the tutorial then layered the train brushes above and below to reflect that things haven't always improved with time and technology! Behind is a selection of transfers and overlays from various APs, some on darken mode others on color, the great thing about Ulla-May's tutorial is by using color burn on the final image it allows this kind of layering. I had taken a photograph of my watch which I posted on my instagram when we were on the final stage of the journey (bus) so I extracted this, changed to darken and positioned on top of a transfer with a compass vibe. I was clear that I wanted a fairly chaotic feel to the page so have used Skinny lined overlays again to reflect movement and mood. The transfer from the top, I duplicated and transfered to the bottom of the page then used transform > perspective to create the colour on the tracks, again changed to Darken mode. Lastly added splatters for stars and a MM moon as well as a plane brush.
