My MIL made a scrapbook when she was a girl. The first photo has a calendar in it that says 1938. I think she was about 12 then. I was lucky enough to be able to borrow it from my brother-in-law in Slovakia so I could scan the photos. I didn't do much editing except to increase the contrast a little so I could preserve the original look.
