Process
Two solid papers (2 and 3) from APP Paraiso were used as the base of the page with paper 3 the top layer. A layer mask was added to paper 3. Using the gradient tool, the top part of the paper was hidden, revealing the blue paper. The photo was clipped to a Hipster Plume FotoBlendz mask, revealing just the left side of the image. The image was duplicated and clipped with another Hipster Plume FotoBlendz mask, revealing the right side of the image. The blending modes of the masks were changed to color burn and hard light. The layers were merged, duplicated with the blending mode changed to screen (reduced opacity) to lighten the image. A warm glow was layered between the two images with the blending mode changed to color to warm up the sand a bit. The image was duplicated again. This time the beach umbrellas were extracted and a custom shadow was created. The vibrance and saturation of the beach umbrellas was increased. Several transfers from the kit were layered around the image. A Tropical Flower brush was added with the blending mode changed to soft light to add some texture to the bottom of the page. Embellishments and word art were added to complete the page.
