To me Anna's new ArtPlay Palette, Florence, echoes the old world sophistication of European capitals brimming of culture. I found this photo of a chic model from the 50s on New York Public Libray digital database. Together they were a perfect match.

Process notes:
I opened up Artsy Paper No. 2 from the NEW APP Florence and a layered a mask from MulitLayered FotoBlendz No. 8. I clipped my photos to mask, centering it on the page. I added the PhotoShop filter rough pastels that gave it a dewy look. I also duplicated the photo twice using the blend modes of color burn and soft light. Since the design seemed center-heavy, I started adding artsy transfers behind the photo. I added artsy transfer No. 2, duplicated it and stretched one layer across the page. Then I added artsy transfer No. 5 to balance the design. In the original photo, the model is wearing a hat with flowers. I replaced them with the flower element from APP Florence. I resized and rotated the flowers, also reduced the opacity to 62%. I added the confetti element to each flower to mimic a stamen. To add more interest and depth, I brushed in a variety of brushes around her face. The finishing touch was a quote from Coco Chanel.
Thanks for looking.
