This layout was going to be a page for the AnnaColor Challenge https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34924 but it turned out in a totally different way. The photo with my son at the left side, was taken on a motor festival I visited last weekend.

Process: I started with an artsy paper from ArtPlay Palette Inclement and it was set as the background. I duplicated it and the copy was edited with the High Pass Filter. I added adjustment layers for Curves, Levels and Brightness/Contrast as I wanted a look of more textures. Then I placed the photo and clipped it to brush from ArtPlay Palette Inclement. I did the same as for the backgroundpaper and added also a High Pass Filter to the photo. I added adjustment layers to the photo and changed the color into blue for their jackets and a red hue for the faces. Then I began to add brushes, overlays and transfers from both ArtPlay Palette Inclement and ArtPlay Palette Pierian. I was pleased with the results but the faces were still too red. I added adjustment layers for Hue/Saturation and Color Balance but it was hard to edit the color. From here the page took another way. I added a Color Fill layer with a brown hue I found in the backgroundpaper and my intention was to apply this color only to the faces. But when I went through the blending modes, the Color Burn changed the colors on the clothes to green and I loved it. So I added the same Color Fill layer to the background also and the Blending mode was set to Overlay for that layer. And with a adjustment layer for Hue/Saturation where I desaturated the colors, I got the black tone. I then finished the layout with embellishments from both ArtPlay Palettes.
This is stunning, I love how you blended the photo and used it on the dark background.....it really stands out in the gallery.

A most intriguing page--love the darkness and how you have made the faces shine through--love that color green you created, too.

a very handsome young man! I love how you worked with the black to make it have movement --- a very interesting page.
