The background paper was created by using a dark blue paper from Lots of Love and then adding a brown paper with the Darken blend mode and a green paper with the Darker Color blend mode from The Magic of Nature. The photo is actually three versions of the photo. The mask for the blended photo was created by rotating a paint piece from The Magic of Nature and then duplicating it so that the photo wasnt too light. I then used three versions of the photo. The top photo layer was tinted brown pulling a color from the brown paper and then changing the blend mode to Hard Light. On the second photo layer, I changed the levels on the photo to lighten the shadows around Davids eyes. The blend level on that layer is Normal. The bottom photo layer is the normal photo clipped to the mask.
