To me flowers are a little pleasure in life. I've been a life-long flower freak. Used one of my watercolor flower picturesphoto taken at the Lady Bird Johnson Wild Flower Center.

Process notes:
Ive been admiring all the block design in the gallery lately and decided to try one myself. I like to use everything from one APPwell, because Anna designs it so everything coordinates. I started with solid paper No. 2, duplicated it twice and used the blending mode Darken to make the color richer. Using the brushes from the APP, I stamped three blocks of color in the center of the page, changing the color and opacity until I found a pleasing combination. I placed my flower photo, duplicated it twice using the Color Burn mode. I blended the photo into the color block. I also duplicate the flower photo again, placed it behind the masked flower and greatly reduced the opacity and masked bits outcreating a very soft frame for the photo. It needed a punch, so I added the JazzedUp LoopDa Loop No. 4 and rotated it. Placed the WordART in the lower left corner to complete the square shape, added a key line from APP Elf (my favorite finishing touch) and stopped before I added anything else. My inner artsy girl was saying, keep it simple. So I did.
Thanks for looking!
