Ms Honey Bunnie

Ms Honey Bunnie

As some of you know, I take photos of the heads of a hat shop I pass every morning on the way to getting my coffee at the bakery. I love the heads that are sitting in the window with their funny hats. Its the combination of hat and attitude of the head that always grabs my imagination. I couldnt pass this one up.

The journaling reads: Ms Honey Bunnie and her trusted assistant Maxwell, checking the stats of her egg count. Will the Easter Bunny have enough?

Process Notes: After opening a new 12 x 12 file, I brought in the photo and using a reverse layer mask which made her disappear, I worked at bringing her back with AnnaBlendz brushes. I decided on artsy paper 2 as the background.

I duplicated the photo and put the copy on Screen blend mode and duplicated her once again and used the Poster Edges filter on that copy and blended to Multiply and reduced the opacity to 26%.

I brought in flower transfer 5 from the palette and laid it over the flower on her right in the paper and blended it to Color Burn. Then bringing in the black multimedia bunny, I clipped transfers to his ear and body, resizing him and positioning at her shoulder.

Creating the title and positioning and using Blend Ifs after adding the stains, transfers, number overlay, much reduced in size and blended to Color Burn. I also used various brushes from the palette at the top of the page as well as around the photo, always using colors from the palette or the photo. Typing out the journaling, I placed another bunny underneath it.

Directly under the photo in the layers panel and circling the photo on the right side, I brought in the png FotoBlendz and clipped solid paper 1 to it and blended the mask to Color Burn, which deepened the hues of the paper and flower transfer.

Adding the bow at her throat an using the Hue/Saturation, I changed the color. The button and stitching was added to finish the page.
So much fun. Wonder if Anna ever suspected Tres Bon would be used in such a way!!! It works!

Maxwell has such an ominous vibe, providing a little darkness to the sweet, which I happen to love. Kind of like a wink. A cheering page to start my day--thanks!
