Journaling: The Farmers Almanac predicted a rainy spring, and so far its correct. Everyday is a crap shoot. One minute its warm and sunny and the next the sky is filled with dark and heavy clouds, spilling more rain than weve seen since last fall. Personally, I love this kind of weather, but Im in the minority, so I keep it to myself. April 2017

Process Notes: Opening the photo, making it black and white, duplicating it and using the Threshold, I merged the layers and pulled it into a 12 x 12 file. Using artsy paper 6, I resized the photo and positioned it over the artsy part and blended to Color Burn. Most of the heavy lifting was done, bringing the artsy of the background paper through.
Underneath I placed the tree peaking out from the left side and leaving it on Normal. Over this and at the top I brought in a couple of cloud brushes. At the bottom of the photo I placed the word art and the MM Spring flower.
I made a brush out of one of my rubber stamps, duplicated her, recolored the bottom layer to yellow and with the arrow keys, moved it down and to the right. Underneath her I stamped the artsy paint in the aqua color from the paper and a stamp from Gelid at her feet a darker shade.
Placing a transfer from the kit at the upper right corner, I brought in the birds just above it, circling the page. I had the title all over the page and finally decided where I liked it the best, then putting the journaling next to it. Over this I put the png MM Rain, resizing and blending it to Pin Light. In the layers panel, I placed the glow and blended it to Overlay. The corner stitching finished the page.
