I was inspired by Lindas last two tutorials on using brushes to create a scenic background. Her easy-to-understand directions made me want to try this technique.
Supplies:
MiniArtPlay Palette Gelid (FREE with a $20 purchase)
Scenic WordART No. 1 [ link ]
Process notes:
I selected artsy paper #2 from MiniArtPlay Palette Gelid, duplicated it and set the blending mode to Color Burn. I place my photo and sized it to 12 x 12, also setting the blend mode to Color Burn. The paper and photo created the basis of my forest lake scene. I used almost every transfer in the mini-Palette varying the blend modes to add light or dark to certain areas, enhancing the look while adding texture and dimension. I also masked out or blended the edges to create a seamless image. I completed the design by stamping brushes from the kit to fill in the lake and forest areas to create a lush, full look. The wordArt finished the design.
Thanks for looking.
