Journaling:
Permanent residents. At first they were so drab we weren't sure who they were, then as the days passed we were pretty sure the goldfinches were resident. It was delightful to watch them become more colorful as the days grew longer. They were a new sign of the coming spring for us.

Interesting fact about finches. We have goldfinches that migrate, but they are always bright yellow when they get up north! Beautiful design flow and colors! Love it!

I love to watch them turn! We have quite a few breeding pairs that frequent our feeder and the male color is like feathery sunshine. A beautiful spread for one of my fave birdies.
