From our Florida trip....this was Sam happily eating his ice cream before the fireworks started. I merged it with a pic of the fireworks taken a few minutes later just for effect. Once those babies started he was all tears so I definitely wasn't able to get anymore photos of him!
Journaling: We had such a wonderful evening at the Magic Kingdom. It was getting close to time for the fireworks show so we got some ice cream and settled in at a little table to enjoy the show. You were pretty ensconsed in your ice cream when the first shot fired in the sky. You looked so surprised at the loudness of it, almost as if you were in shock. And then the tears started. You lurched forward and buried your head in my lap. Over and over you repeated theyre over now, theyre over now. For twenty minutes this continued and nothing could console you.....not your ice cream.....not even Nana. Ive never seen you be so scared of anything. Now if we even mention the word fireworks you immediately put your hands over your ears. Guess we wont be spending the 4th of July watching fireworks anytime soon!
