Notes for Photoshop Elements 14
I pulled my photo, which had a very tight crop, onto a new canvas, slipped an Artsy Paper behind it, opened all four Artsy Transfers, and dragged them in under and over the photo. I blended in the photo by clipping duplicates of the photo to the larger Artsy Transfer layers, then turned all the other layers off.
I then turned on each layer one by one, altering it, moving it, or eliminating it as needed.
After all that, I dragged another Artsy Paper underneath the first one, set the blending mode to color dodge, andvoilamost of the color disappeared, leaving a lot of textured white space behind. Given this was a snow page, I liked that a lot.
I added the word art and embellishments, then, for an overlay, put the striped paper from the Artplay Palette on top of the layer stack on multiply mode at reduced opacity. I'll be talking about why I do that in an upcoming tutorial on the aA blog.
