JOURNALING: Many years ago my sister and I found a magazine with directions on how to make little figures for the holiday season out of wood clothes pins, felt, and sequins. We made several, if not all, of the characters (see the Jester, Man Singing Carols, and, of course, Santa.) We even got creative and created characters of our own (Christmas Shopper), ending up with about 20. These clothespin people were supposed to stand upright on a block of Styrofoam, hence the big feet. That didnt work very well so we ended up putting strings on them so we could hang the Little People on the Christmas tree. Years later after I was married, my sister gifted me with all of the Little People. When I opened the box that Christmas I cried at the wonderful memories and her thoughtful gift.
