Letter To Santa

JOURNALING:
Dear Santa:
This is your busiest season, and I don't want to take up too much of your time, but I wanted to explain why I no longer send you my Christmas "wish list." The last time was 2009. That was the year I lost my perfect Shih Tzu, May-Ling. I missed having a dog in my life SO MUCH that I'd even volunteered to work at the Humane Society, thinking that would fill my "pup-need." What a disaster! So disorganized. No guidance as to what I was supposed to do there. I left totally discouraged.
Then, online, I found a Yorkshire Terrier/Chinese Crested pup. She was about 3 months old and had been rescued from an Amish puppy mill. And, when my mother said, "Yes," Pennie became my Christmas present that year.
So, I don't need any more Christmas wish lists. Nothing can top my "brown-eyed puppy with a stump for a tail."
Thank you for the job you do bringing magic into our lives and thank you for my ultimate Christmas gift - unconditional love, on a two-way street.

Pennie at 3 months

When I first saw you, I said
Oh my, that's my dream, that's my dream.
