Process: I placed an artsy paper from ArtPlay Palette Christmas Tree as the background. Above this, two layers of the photo using the gradient tool on a mask. The first photo layer was set to Luminosity and the other to Multiply. On top of these three layers a copy of the background, set to blend mode Multiply. I added snowflakes from WoodShop Christmas No.1 and stars from ArtPlay Palette Christmas Tree. Then I placed two different edges from Doily Edge Overlays No. 1 and both were set to blend mode Linear Burn. The top layer of these two was erased on the top of the layout. A transfer from ArtPlay Palette Christmas Tree was placed on the left side over the cliffs to darken it a bit. The blend mode was set to Linear Burn. I added a lot of brushes from ArtPlay Palette Christmas Tree and they were placed in the parts with shadows on the cliffs, to strengthen these. Another brush from Christmas Trees No. 1 was flipped horizontal and placed on the right side. I also added artstrokes and brushes from ArtPlay Palette Christmas Tree and placed these in the sand. A transfer with text from the ArtPlay Palette was set to blend mode Multiply and placed on the right side. Then I added an overlay and I placed it at the right side with the blend mode Color Burn. A Christmas tree pine was placed and I desaturated the green with an adjustment layer for Hue/Saturation. I finished the layout with the title.
brilliant use of the background paper. Love all the textures, could look at this for hours .

I like how you used some layers of the same... differently and created such a mood of the month... beautiful depth!!
