We were just in time to see the newly opened Oculus Building, designed by Santiago Calatrava, with its two ribbed wings providing great photo opportunities with One World Trade Center in the background. Inside was a Westfields mall, but most everyone we saw was busy taking photos and selfies at various angles and reflections. Not a fan of modern architecture, but I have to admit its impressive, and a sign of indomitable regrowth. Its 15 years later at the site of the former World Trade Center, later Ground Zero.
