Nymphenburg Palace, the summer home of the Wittelsbachs, was very Versailles-like, especially outside, There was even a long canal with a gondola. Inside was another palace of beautiful baroque/rococo rooms, painted ceilings, lots of gold. It was recommended that we didnt need to see both the Residenz and the Nymphenburg, but Im glad we saw both, for really, can one ever see too many palaces?
