Is it any wonder this was on my top three list? And we hadnt even gone inside yet. Spectacular grounds and fountains in the midst of the mountainous countryside were King Ludwigs attempts to create his own little Versailles. The pretty sunny day helped the overall favorable
impression, and so welcome after much rain and gray.
