Hi everyone! After a summer of traveling and many weeks of scrapping the travel photos, I am nearly done, and wanted to take a break to do this week's lift, since this is my favorite kind of layout...a large blended photo with several smaller details.

This was the first stop on our European vacation, Bacharach on the Rhine River.

Journaling:
I dont think there could have been a prettier medieval town in which to start our adventures, nor a prettier hotel. The Pension im Malerwinkel was set back away from the trains which roared by frequently on their trips up and down the Rhine River Valley, in a pretty corner with a rushing brook, a tower amongst the vineyards, full of flowers and bordered by lovely half-timbered houses with incredibly lush and pretty yards.
It was only 400 meters, according to the hotel proprietor, from the train station in Bacharach to the Pension im Malerwinkel, but it was over 800-year-old cobbled streets. We didnt get very far before Tods suitcase wheels broke into bits, making for an extra challenge.
